Ladakh and Zanskar

Left is a link to the slide show of the trek we made in August 2003. This was another trek with World Expeditions, called the Himalayan Traverse, as technically it crosses the main Himalayan Range.

It took just over three weeks to walk from Manali to Lamayuru as shown on the Google map to the right. The terrain was varied from the monsoonal forrests on the lower parts of the Hampta pass to the dry, windswept mountains of Ladakh.

At the end of the trek we went to Leh and visited the surrounding Gompa's.

The photos are all scanned from slides (Fuji Provia 100) and are mainly landscapes. I told the story of the trek on video.
