Muktinath Panorama

This is a cubic panorama generated at the twelth camp at Muktinath on the other side of the Thorung La. The initial view is looking toward the Kali Gandaki with Dhaulagiri (8167m) on the left. Behind can be seen our trail making the long descent from the pass.

All these panoramas were rendered in World Construction set 6 with a landsat overlay. The data is 90m DEMS patched by Jonathan de Ferranti (see "Rendered Hills" page).Use the mouse to swing the camera around and <Shift> and <Ctrl> to zoom in and out. The buttons along the bottom allow for these actions as well as auto rotate and the button to the right will give a very good full screen view, in this mode use the buttons for zooming. IE does not seem to handel this as well as Firefox3. The compass in the top right also shows the field of view. The path lines are derived from GPS tracks taken at the time. Blue was morning and red afternoon.
