Thorung Phedi Panorama

This is a cubic panorama generated at the eleventh camp at Thorung Phedi. The initial view is looking across the pass, the Thorung La. Our trail can be seen crossing the pass (the blue line), and beyond is the gorge of the Kali Gandhaki. Looking back is a good view of the Annapurna range.

All these panoramas were rendered in World Construction set 6 with a landsat overlay. The data is 90m DEMS patched by Jonathan de Ferranti (see "Rendered Hills" page).Use the mouse to swing the camera around and <Shift> and <Ctrl> to zoom in and out. The buttons along the bottom allow for these actions as well as auto rotate and the button to the right will give a very good full screen view, in this mode use the buttons for zooming. IE does not seem to handel this as well as Firefox3. The compass in the top right also shows the field of view. The path lines are derived from GPS tracks taken at the time. Blue was morning and red afternoon.
