Baglungpani Panorama

previous
next

This is a cubic panorama generated at the second camp at Baglungpani high on the ridge top. The initial view is looking down into the Marsyangdi Valley, where we were to go the next day. In the distance are the peaks around Manaslu. Swinging the camera to the north shows all the high peaks of the range and looking east shows the trail up to this camp.

Use the buttons below the view to change camps. Alternatively, go back to the map.

All these panoramas were rendered in World Construction set 6 with a landsat overlay. The data is 90m DEMS patched by Jonathan de Ferranti (see "Rendered Hills" page).Use the mouse to swing the camera around and <Shift> and <Ctrl> to zoom in and out. The buttons along the bottom allow for these actions as well as auto rotate and the button to the right will give a very good full screen view, in this mode use the buttons for zooming. IE does not seem to handel this as well as Firefox3. The compass in the top right also shows the field of view. The output was generated with Pano2VR from Gardengnomesoftware.
