| The arrows on the map above link to Flash panoramas generated at that location which was one of our camp sites on the trek of the circuit. For each panorama page use the mouse to swing the camera around and <Shift> and <Ctrl> to zoom in and out. The buttons along the bottom allow for these actions as well as auto rotate and the button to the right will give a very good full screen view, in this mode use the buttons for zooming. IE does not seem to handel this as well as Firefox3. The compass in the top right also shows the field of view. The other two links show wmv flights round the circuit. "Fly High" is a high level orbit of the massif whereas "Through the Valleys" is a lower flight along the route.
The route shown in all these renderings is taken from a GPS I was carrying so should be accurate. Once again thanks to Jonathan de Ferranti for making his patched DEM's available free of charge. I understand they are now used by Google Earth and World Wind. |
